As soon as I get the time, I am going to add all my nw condiments to the site. I have soo many, that I think I will have to start over. My wife is not too thrilled that I have taken over the dresser with condiments. I started emptying out all of the cups and dressings, and keeping just the wrappers to save space.
I may start a new section for a message board. I need new tips on where all the new condiments are, such as McDonalds coming out with a new dipping sauce or something like that.

To my surprise, my friend Chris brought me a whole bag of condiments from Italy and rome today. He said his month-in-law took the time to collect them for me. I had no clue that she would do that for me. It's very awesome and I THANK HER GREATLY! This will also be added to my condiments around the world section.

My old friend Jeremy, which I haven't seen since high school, brought me some condiments from Japan today. They are very cool and I can't wait to add them to my "Condiments around the world" section.

I added some new links today, such as Ebay auctions, weird and unusual and new additions. They don't have much content, but it looks like I have a lot of stuff.

My traffic log has surged from 50-100 hits a day to over 400. What in the world…It looks like they are coming from an almanac site. WOW, my site has been published in the new Farmers Almanac titled "Packets on Parade." Now I just have to figure out how to make money from this site. I am definitely not displaying banners all over my site.

Its been a long time since I was able to last update this site. I have been busy working on my E-commerce project, Databind. I did manage to add some new links to the site, such as the vote for your favorite section, pictures and my cool collectors map. I would like to fill every state in my map if possible, and new countries. So far, I only have a handful of states.

I went to Popeye's today and I asked the lady at the register if she had any new condiments. She said "Condiment? What's a condiment?". I replied, "Uhh…nevermind."

I went to Taco Bell this afternoon for lunch and I had a HAY-DAY collecting all of the new packets. Each packet had a different statement on them. Did I feel weird walking out of Taco Bell with both pockets full of condiments? Yeah, pretty much.

It's been awhile since I have last written in my blog. I pretty much forgot about my site, until I received some condiments in the mail today. I received some awesome condiments from Turkey. My wife's friend, April, was soo kind to actually collect and send them to me. There are a lot of McDonalds condiments as well as sugar sticks and creamers. It makes you wonder how many UNIQUE condiments one can actually collect from around the world.

Take a look at my LIFE SPAN table. My friends get a kick out of it. I have also added 500 more condiment receipes. I seem to be getting the most traffic from receipe searches for Ketchup.

I managed to take a few hours during my weekend to scan some condiments. Unfortunately, my update process takes about 2-3 minutes for each condiment. That is a long time when you add it all up. I'm not about to pay someone to do this for me. So far I am over 300, and the site looks like it is coming together nicely. I have added a top 10 list, which lists the top categories, recipes, manufacturers, ect.

So I still don't have a life? Well, my collection has grown to over 500 and I just don't have the time to update the site yet. I would like to update the site, but I have kids to spend time with and work to finish. I am making condiment collecting part of my hobby, and I don't think having a hobby is a waste of time.

I know that some of you think I don't have a life if I can develop a site like this, but you are completely wrong! I originally designed this site as a SAMPLE site for my web development company, Emperial Design, Inc. During my lunch break at work, I would collect just the packets from the fast food restaurants and hang them on the wall. I had about 40 or so, and felt that would be good enough to present a SAMPLE site showing how I use a database to organize and display data. I somehow became addicted to collecting condiments, mostly because it was FREE and the collection grew to over 100.
I have a big family with 3 kids and 2 dogs, and I have a full-time job along with my own business as a web developer. The site only took a few days to design, layout and fill with content. When I do have the time, I scan the condiments and I use an admin section to add new condiments to the site. Everything on the site is dynamic and stream-lined so it is very fast & easy to update. Time is money for me, so I make sure I use my time wisely when updating this site.

Well, here it is…a condiment blog. What could I possibly write about concerning condiments? I certainly don't have many interesting stories, except for the ones I post in the NEWS section of the site. I think I will be using this blog section to keep track of new condiments and say "thank you" to those who have kindly donated.
